I have to continually remind myself that exercise really can, and does, keep me balanced and alleviate stress. As a health and wellness professional I have a wealth of knowledge in the areas of exercise and nutrition. I have spent many years educating myself and working with tons of clients, helping them reach their goals and coaching them towards excellence. But, when it comes down to it, I’m in the same boat as other moms with toddlers, juggling day-to-day, and sometimes barely coming up for air. Doing what’s right for my body is a daily struggle, but a struggle I will win. Because I know what the alternative looks like if I don’t invest in my health. I know this sounds quirky, but sometimes I just drop to the floor and start doing push-ups at random or jump-squats while my son is watching Go Diego Go. Hey, however I can get it in.

It doesn’t sound quirky at all! I often do squats while I’m playing fetch with Mylo. Soon as I throw her toy, I get a couple in.
We play for about 15 minutes, and I don’t keep count or anything. But I definitely feel it. Nobody is too busy to exercise. We make time for the things that are important to us. Do we always feel like it? Of course not.
