Do you find yourself allowing things to distract you from starting your weight loss journey? Do you give excuses that usually involve the kids or house work.? Do you keep putting it off and putting it off?

You, my dear, are a classic Procrastinator.

Procrastination is a result of fear. What is your greatest fear of beginning this journey? What has you mentally and physically stuck?

Is it the fear of the unknown? The fear that you may have to give up things that you enjoy that are actually causing you to be overweight and/or sedentary? Is it being comfortable with your known state and unsure about your future state?

Trust me, as a former food addict, procrastinator and the ultimate perfectionist, I can say with assurance that all three are fueled by fear.

My fear revolved around the unknown. Although I wasn’t the healthiest that I wanted to be, I felt like I wasn’t all that bad. What I didn’t realize was that I was missing out on greater energy and vitality and I was not really living life to the fullest.

See, whatever is holding you back from committing all out to a healthier lifestyle is causing you to not live up to your potential. You are settling for good when you could have great! There’s a whole level of living that exists when you are at optimal health that you miss out on when you stay in your unhealthy comfort zone.

Let me challenge you to live life. To start that exercise program one minute at a time. To stop feeding on junk for instant gratification and choose foods that help your body to live and not assist it to die.

Start NOW.
Not Next Week.
Not Tomorrow.
Not Next Year.
Not Later.
Not In The Future.
Not Another Day.

But, NOW.
